Endeavone EMS Platform Architecture

The Endeavone EMS architecture is compatible with Windows^® XP, Windows^® Server 2003 and later editions of Windows^®. Its multitasking and Symmetric Multi-Processing features can successfully leverage the powerful hardware support for enhanced performance. The multithreaded implementation and use of the Microsoft^® .NET Framework 2.0 make the architecture flexible, modular, scalable, robust, fast and dependable.

Admin Console

Endeavone Admin Console is the user interface to configure the Endeavone EMS, monitor its rapidly evolving states, control sessions with counterparties, search messages based on different filters and control the access of trading client applications to the Endeavone EMS. To ensure that emergencies never get overlooked and ignored, the Endeavone EMS allows concurrent administration by several administrators.

Adapter Manager

An Adapter is a trading interface that plugs into the Endeavone EMS and provides messaging connectivity between the Endeavone EMS and the counterparty. Endeavone EMS implements DMA capabilities through Adapters. From the Adapter Manager, administrators of the Endeavone EMS can perform monitoring and controlling tasks on Adapters.

Adapter Host

Endeavone EMS can host Adapters locally on the Endeavone EMS Server or from remote machines using Endeavone Adapter Host proxies. Using Adapter Hosts, the Endeavone EMS can connect to different Sell-side counterparties from different machines. Adapter Hosts provide effective load balancing and bring modularity in the Endeavone EMS platform deployment.

Communication Channel

The Communication Channel is the interface of the Endeavone EMS through which its client applications (like trading Frontends or the Order Management Systems of trading users) securely connect to the Endeavone EMS and exchange business messages with their permitted counterparties (like exchanges). Endeavone EMS maintains the session of each connected trading client and monitors its activities in a controlled environment. Administrators of the EMS can control the access of trading clients to the EMS from the Communication Channel. The Communication Channel also allows administrators to send administrative notes to selected or all trading clients.
